Two records of this brightly coloured moth which may fly in sunny weather and was first seen in 2011. Mostly found on heathland or moorland in June and July. Caterpillar foodplants include a number of herbaceous species such as sheep's sorrel (Rumex acetosella), devil's-bit scabious (Succisa pratensis) and plantains (Plantago) as well as heathers (Calluna/Erica)
