Rare and first recorded The Scottish stronghold for this species is on the east coast and it was not recorded on the Outer Hebrides until 2010. There are similar species but the orangey-yellow suffusion on the head, thorax and base of wings is characteristic. It is active from June to August

The larvae can be found within the rolled leaves of various grasses and herbaceous plants
