Double Dart

A scarce moth with 16 records for the Outer Hebrides as of 2024. On the wing from June to August in broadleaved woodland, scrub and gardens. The larvae feed on a wide range of herbaceous and woody plants including broad-leaved dock (Rumex obtusifolius), willows (Salix spp.), blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) and hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna).
