Lesser Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing

Common across the islands. On the wing from July to early September across open habitats such as machair, sand-dunes and gardens. The larvae feed on a wide range of herbaceous and woody plants including broad-leaved dock (Rumex obtusifolius), scentless mayweed (Tripleurospermum inodorum) and willows (Salix spp.).
