Common and widespread across the archipelago. On the wing from June to September across a large range of habitats. The larvae feed on a wide range of herbaceous plants including stinging nettles (Urtica dioica), foxglove (Digitalis purpurea) and broad-leaved dock (Rumex obtusifolius).
