Monopis laevigella ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)
Skin Moth
A widespread species throughout Britain but few records from the Outer Hebrides. There are old records from Lewis, Harris, North Uist and St. Kilda and more recently in 2009 on South Uist, with a small number since all from South Uist and Eriskay. Active from May to September in a wide-range of habitats.
