Widespread across Scotland but scarce in here in the west with just 11 records to 2024. Its scarce status on the islands is probably associated with the lack of suitable habitat. Active from July to November, associated with pines, mainly Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) and Corsican pine (Pinus nigra).
