Plutella porrectella  (Linnaeus, 1758)

Streaked Diamond-back

It has a sparse distribution in Scotland with just one record on South Uist. The food-plant is Hesperis matronalis, which has a host of common names including dame’s violet and sweet rocket. It’s a garden escape, now well established here. The flight period is between late April to October, with two generations.
