Diachrysia chrysitis (Linnaeus, 1758)
Burnished Brass
A common and widespread species across the archipelago. On the wing from June to July in gardens, hedgerows and scrub. The main larval food-plant is stinging nettles (Urtica dioica) but other herbaceous plants are also used.
