Lesser Swallow Prominent

A common species in Scotland but rare in the Outer Hebrides. Until recently, there were just two 2016 records from Lewis. In July 2025 two records have come from Stornoway and nearby. On the wing from May to early August where the larval food-plant, birches (Betula spp.), grow.
