Apamea sordens (Hufnagel, 1766)
Rustic Shoulder-knot
Rare in the Outer Hebrides with just two records: North Uist in 1977 and South Uist in 2017. Active from May to July in grassland, woodland edge and gardens. The larvae feed on numerous grass species and cereal crops.
