Acleris variegana ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)
Garden Rose Tortrix
A variable species, common across Scotland, with numerous records from the southern islands of the Outer Hebrides. The main flight period is from June to October, found in gardens, scrubby areas, orchards and hedgerows. The numerous food-plants include hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna), blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) and fruit trees.
