Recent range extensions within Scotland saw this species first arrive on the Outer Hebrides on South Uist in May 2025. It is mostly present in the western half of Scotland as far north as Mallaig (2025). An unmistakeable small white geometrid moth with two small black dots on the costa of each wing. Found in hedgerows, gardens and open woodland where it's foodplants include hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) and other species in the rose family.
