Common Marbled Carpet

A scarce moorland and woodland species with just 14 records up to 2024. It can be confused with arran carpet and dark marbled carpet. Active from June to September where the larval food-plants grow. These are mainly woody shrubs such as willows (Salix spp.) and heather (Calluna vulgaris).
